Sinful Colours - Gorgeous — as a base coat
Wet n Wild Colouricons - Cost is No Issue — two coats
Orly Bonder and Poshe for base and top coats
I think what they are referring to is the crookedness of the nail bed of my middle finger… it is crooked and lumpy and odd you can’t see it as well in the more patterned manicure but the simpler ones it’s noticable
Awwww they are uniquely mine that’s for sure… I do my best to post them on the internet as much as possible
Thank you!
Because my nail was ripped of when I was a toddler and it took three years to grow back and has always been scarred. Also I’ll post pictures of my hand (or anything else for that matter) where ever the hell I want!
Manicure December 2nd, 2011
It’s not to early for Christmas nails right?? I hope not cause I’ve gone and done some! I really wanted to try different things out, I’m usually one of those people who hate different designs on each nail but I wanted to try designs out to see what they all looked like. I love my middle, ring, and pinkie finger, the index and thumb not so much. Thumb would be okay if I hadn’t had a brain fart and messed up the stripes. As for the index finger that was a failed snowflake that I tried to rescue, not sure what is going on there now!
Anyway My Favorite is the tree which is the design that started this whole process. I’m proud of all of these came straight from my brain!
Polishes used are Orly Ma Cherie, Wet N’ Wild SaGreena the Teenage Witch, Jordana White, and Jordana Stripers
Katherine’s Galaxy Nails
My friend Katherine Stopped by for me to top up her manicure and when she got here she was wondering if I could do Galaxy Nails for her. I was up for the challenge especially as I got to practice on her before eventually doing them on myself!
Started with a base of Nubar Elegant Indigo and sponged on some Essie Dive Bar. Next was Jordan white, Orly Spark, and Sinful Colours Gorgeous all sponged on. some white dots for brighter stars and silver glitter spots for clustering and we were almost done. All we needed now was a good coat of Twee and Honey’s Fairy Farts followed with Seche Vite. Katherine seemed happy, I was happy so I deem it a success.
P.S. I used Cute Polish’s tutorial from memory, which can be found here
Manicure November 26th 2011
Sorry this is nearly a week late. We had an election here in New Zealand and I was involved in one of the campaigns, do I have been reasonably exhausted this past week. Anyway, here’s the manicure I did for the after party a nice subdued green theme, I really liked it… each nail has a completely different pattern on it… the pinkie is a bit messed up but I couldn’t be bothered fixing that…
Colours are Nubar Faded Putty and Vogue Vert, along with Essie Going Incognito.
I still love Nubar and Faded Putty went on like a dream.
Manicure November 23rd 2011
New Favorite Manicure!!!! I love these two colours together! I’m very proud of myself for getting this to look how I want it too! Polishes are Nubar Vogue Vert and Essie Going Incognito. I love the pale minty green of Vogue Vert and in true Nubar fashion it applied like a dream. Going Incognito on the other hand I have thought about getting rid of several times. In the bottle it looks like a dark teal colour but in reality its a Dark Hunter Green, and every time I’ve put it on I’ve removed it before it is even dry. It’s just not a colour I would usually wear, but I think I will keep it now as an accent colour it is a good green especially for the holidays which are coming up.
I also see massive improvement in both the usage and control of the dotting tool in general but also when applying polish and using the dotting tool in my left hand(when doing my right hand) not perfect yet but improving!
I highly recommend getting some dotting tools I love mine, now just to get more sizes…
Manicure 4 days later.
I just wanted to update you all on this wonderful new polish and how it’s holding… 4 days on doing dishes making dinner lot’s of typing and it still looks like I applied it yesterday! Very minimal tip wear(esp considering I forgot to cap the tips) NO chipping… this is great! like really really Great!!! I highly recommend Mode Cosmetics Nail Polish… Not only did it go on wonderfully it’s absolutely lasts…
